48 × 24 × 16 in is an illustrative starting point. The controls explore proportions, rather than a fixed size collection. Renderings show your wood choice; the dimension study shows your proportions. Final boards, finish, and specifications are confirmed with your commission.
Concept renderingTwo materials. One clear form.
A substantial hardwood surface rests on two rectangular steel loops. The open base keeps the outline spare and lets the color and grain of the top take the lead.
Individual boards bring natural variation in grain and color.
A few details.
Can I customize the coffee table’s size and wood?
Yes. Start with the 48 × 24 × 16-inch example, then explore lengths from 30 to 72 inches, widths from 16 to 36 inches, and heights from 12 to 22 inches. Choose padauk, walnut, white oak, cherry, maple, or hickory with black steel loop bases.
How is padauk finished?
Padauk receives shellac pretreatment and UV-resistant polyurethane, with an allowance for the additional preparation and coating work. The finish helps slow color change; padauk still darkens with age and light. Other woods receive an oil-wax finish.
How much does a custom coffee table cost?
The example Padauk configuration is estimated at $5,600–$7,200 USD. Length 48 in × width 24 in × height 16 in; top thickness 1.5 in; Padauk. This is a planning range; the final commission is quoted individually. Tax, delivery, and installation are additional.
